Jesse
Hooray for Jesse! We found his permanent home with a lovely couple who live in Marin and have a dog with a similar disability. When Jesse met them he melted, needless to say, they did too! It is a perfect match and we have no doubt he'll be well cared for.
His story:
Shhh! Don't tell Jesse he's missing his hind leg. It was amputated after Jesse suffered from a severe injury. We don't know exactly what happened, but since he was found near a lot of school aged kids, at a carnival that was in full swing, we can only speculate the worst. His leg was so badly broken and he was in so much pain that amputation was the healthiest option. But Jesse doesn't miss his leg - dogs can be so resilient. He gets around just fine, runs and plays, and does just fine without the leg.
