Machito
Update: Machito was adopted by a wonderful person who previously adopted a dog from A Leg Up. They met and it was a perfect match! Machito and his guardian couldn't be happier.
Little Machito is only three pounds but his heart must weigh thirty! He is the sweetest guy you'd ever want to meet, and he holds no grudges about his past. You see, after years of living in a home, someone decided Machito was "too much work" and took him (and another small dog) to the shelter. Both arrived in very poor condition and it was obvious they had been neglected for years.
Machito is only about seven years old, but his teeth had never been maintained so he needed almost all of them extracted. It makes him look older than he really is, but it certainly doesn't stop him from eating. He could eat his weight in food - his foster mom isn't sure how he puts it all away. He must be making up for lost meals! Machito gets along well with other small dogs and loves to go for walks. He is so adorable in person! Really, he just loves being with people. He would make a great little coworker, or companion for someone who is home often.
