Matilda

Adopted: Matilda has been adopted again. This time she joins the household of an ALUR alumni! Her new guardians report she is doing well and they are completely smitten by her. We couldn't be happier!
UPDATE: Matilda was adopted, but is now available for adoption again. Her adopter had a situation change and said they "didn't realise" how much work it takes to raise a puppy. If you are interested in adopting Matilda, PLEASE consider the level of commitment it takes to have a puppy (who will grow into a dog) in your life. She was already abandoned once at the shelter; Matilda deserves the best possible future. If you think it might be with you, please fill out hte application.

Matilda looks like an artist! It looks like she dipped her nose in a can of black paint. Okay, so maybe she looks like a nosey artist? At any rate, we can all agree she is as cute as a picture! She was placed in the shelter's night drop box, so when employees arrived in the morning, there she was - frightened, cold, hungry, but safe. The shelter staff realised she would do best in a foster home instead of a kennel, so they contacted A Leg Up Rescue to assist.
Matilda is almost 4 months old, weighs about 4 pounds, and is happy the shelter staff had her best interest at heart. She gets along well with the other small dogs at her foster home, and is doing very well with everyone she meets. If you are interested in adopting Matilda, please complete the adoption application posted to this site. Please be patient as we respond to all interested inquiries.
